The Command Center is an ideal tool for customers actively tracking live container risk during its entire journey lifecycle. It is ideal for getting real-time risk visibility**,** and is fully adjustable to the risk criteria that suits a user or team’s specific use case, allowing specific risk dimensions and metrics to be customized on the go.
If you have experienced any of the following problem statements:
- I want to understand which ports are active bottlenecks for my containers
- I want to view all containers actively at risk, split by risk levels and prioritize which ones to tackle
- I want to predict risk based on my own risk conditions and mitigate risk early
- I want to manage by exception and handle my time efficiently
… then the Command Center will be a crucial part of your Operational visibility toolset.

In this guide we’ll explain what the Command Center is in detail, how to set it up to match your specific use case, and what the different components included are and how to use them.
What are the global principles of the Command Center?
In order to understand the Command Center, it is ideal to understand some overarching principles related to both its data and interface:
- The Command Center includes actively refreshing containers. This means any containers that have been Picked up empty at the origin port (or Point of Loading - POL), up until Empty return at the destination port (or Port of Discharge - POD).
- Any containers that have completed their journey, and are not actively refreshing anymore, are automatically removed from the Command Center.
- Containers included in the Command Center should match the information seen in the container table view and container single views.
- The Command Center’s customization evolves around Cards. Each card is a subsegment of the aforementioned actively refreshed containers, that match certain Risk Conditions. The user can set up different conditions in each card’s settings to match the risk conditions and levels they want to be informed or analyse more about.
- The Command Center includes Risk Level visual feedback. Risk levels are based on what the user defines as Low, Medium and/or High risk on each card. This definition is then applied in all other views, including map or tables (see each other’s sections below for more information).
- The containers matching each card can be further segmented using Filters; for example, users can filter at risk containers by choosing among their active Trade Lanes, specific locations in the container’s journey, the carrier used, or specific dates of departure, arrival, etc.
- The data that is matching each card and its conditions is displayed in multiple views: a Map view that aggregates active matching containers into their current positions (in either a port or a carrying vessel); a Location Table View that aggregates them into port locations; a Trade Lane Table View, which aggregates them based on their Origin/Destination lanes; and a non-aggregated Container Table View, displaying them individually. Finally, for each Card, specific Insights Charts are included, allowing further visual analysis and drill-down into specific container sets, or individual containers.
