The Portcast team continuously improves the user experience of our platform; one of the key areas for a successful usage of it is, of course, the possibility of uploading your shipments of interest onto the platform.

However, sometimes issues might occur when uploading your shipments; this can happen for a couple of reasons, however, in order to provide clarity onto why a shipment upload might have gone wrong (either via file upload or direct input via the Web Application, or via the API), the Portcast platform includes a log function that displays the history of upload issues observed during your upload operations.

Full upload log functionality is currently restricted to Ocean shipment uploads. We plan to launch full-featured upload logging for Air Cargo shipments soon.

How to access the upload logs on the Portcast Web Application?

In order to access the container upload logs, Portcast Web Application users can head to the left sidebar, click on Dev Tools, then Container Logs. You should see a page very similar to this:

You should be presented with a table view that includes the different upload operations made on the Portcast platform (via both the API and Web Application upload methods).
