The Portcast Web Application includes a number of features that allow you and your team to manage your team members, orgs, and to efficiently collaborate inside the platform. In this guide we cover the following aspects connected to team and org management, as well as collaborative features:

Team user management

Currently, user management inside your team is handled by your Portcast customer success managers. You can contact them directly in order to request adding, removing or changing user accounts, as well as defining which Org accesses should apply.

Our roadmap includes user management features that will be available soon; these will include user role management, specific right setting, and org settings, all integrated into your Portcast Web Application. We’ll keep you informed of when this set of features is released.

Orgs and their scope

The concept of Orgs is a way to organize Master and Sub-Organizations inside your Portcast platform. This is a concept that does not apply to every customer, but certain organizations need compartmentalisation onto separate substructures.

Sub-Orgs do therefore:

User management is therefore done at simple Org level for basic Orgs, or at Sub-Org level for Orgs where there is a Master Org and Sub-Orgs underneath it.

The scope of a Sub-Org is completely separate from another Sub-Org under the same Master Org. If you need to have users be assigned to multiple Sub-Orgs under your Master Org, please make sure to ask your Customer Success manager at Portcast to handle this structuration for you. In the future, Admin-type users will be able to assign users to Sub-Orgs under their managed Master Org.
