The Air Shipments feature of the Portcast Web Application allows you to view all your air cargo shipments in one practical, centralised table view. In this guide we will dive into how to use the list table view of air shipments to analyze, filter and search your air cargo. Additionally, you can refer to the guide on Using the single Air Shipment page to understand how to drill-down into a specific Air Shipment.
Understanding the Air shipments table view information
The Air Cargo section can be accessed by going into the side navigation in the Portcast Web Application, and clicking on ‘Tracking’, then ‘Air Cargo’.
The table view displayed works very similarly to the Container table view; we display a paginated view of all the Master AirWay Bills (MAWBs) previously uploaded, either via API or Web Application, and include column information on the shipments:

Example screenshot of the Air Cargo table view. By default only valid MAWBs are displayed.
The main columns displayed include:
- MAWB: the Master Air Way Bill number that identifies the cargo. This is the number that was provided when adding the air cargo onto the platform. Clicking on this identifier will open the single air cargo page.
- ATA & ETA: The Actual Time of Arrival (ATA) and Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) of the booking. Availability of one or both of these values varies based on carrier-provided information and the current status of the voyage.
- Status: The current status of the Air shipment. Please consult the list of available shipments Route Status on our API documentation, as they are the same used in the Web Applications.
- ETD: The initial Estimated Time of Departure (ETD) and Actual Time of Departure (ATD) for the first container under the BL/Booking. this will not show the ETD/ATD of every container under that BL/Booking; please refer to the single booking view for more granular information of multi-voyage BL/Bookings.
- Status: The status of the first container inside the BL/Booking, as well as the On-time/delayed status (and amount of delay if applicable).
- Latest Event: The latest event observed for the shipment, along with the date and time it was communicated.
- Pieces & Weight: The amount of pieces that are comprised in the shipment, along with their total weight.
- Carrier & Flight No: The name of the carrier (airway) and the flight numbers that comprise the planned voyage that the shipment is scheduled to undertake.
- Journey: The origin and departure airports, along with additional stops that might take place during the journey of the shipment.
