In this guide we will dive into how to use the single Air Shipment view to analyze and track specific Air cargo Master Airway Bills (MAWBs). Additionally, you can refer to the guide on Using the Air Cargo table view to understand how to use the table list of available BL/Bookings in your Org.

Understanding the single Air Shipment view

The single Air Shipment view is displayed once you access one of the previously uploaded Master AirWay Bills (MAWBs) in your Org, either via API or MAWB upload methods.

In the Air shipment single view, one has access to several sections of Air Cargo relevant information:

• Title bar Contains the MAWB number, status of the shipment’s voyage (Arrived, Delayed…) and planned voyage from origin to destination airports.

• Information cards

  • “Arrival at destination” card: Contains Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) and Actual Time of Arrival (ATA) information for the current shipment
  • “Pieces & Weight” card: Total amount of pieces contained in the shipment, along with their total weight.
  • “Carrier details” card: Contains information on the carrier airway(s) and flight numbers that the shipment is scheduled to undertake
  • “Co2e emissons” card: (coming soon) CO2 emissions for the package

• Content tabs

  • Detailed events tab: Includes the planned route of the shipment, including origin, intermediate and destination airports, and all the observed events and time in which they were observed. It also includes a progression bar based on the current status of the shipment.
  • Flight Info: Contains all the flight legs the shipment is scheduled to undertake, including intermediate ports, flight duration and which pieces of the shipment undertook which legs (useful in the case of split shipments).
  • Conversations: allows collaboration under the MAWB context with members of your team, via chat or mentions.

• Map

  Contains the predicted air voyages the shipment is scheduled to undertake, is undertaking, or has undertaken, along with all the airports included in the voyage, placed contetually on a map.

Sharing a single Air Shipment page

The single Air Shipment page includes a sharing feature that allows you to share the contents of that page with members of your team, or customers, without having to add them onto your Portcast Org account. To do this, you can click, on the top right of the page, on the “Share” button; this will automatically copy the sharing link to your clipboard, allowing you to then paste it into whatever platform via which you want to share it (email, social network, word doc…).
